Aleksandra Beļcova (1892–1981) is one of the first modernist artists in Latvia. She came to Riga in 1919 and lived there until the end of her life. She is known as a painter, illustrator, graphic artist and porcelain painter.
The voluminous book is richly illustrated with reproductions of works, photographs and documentary materials. Most of the artworks in this edition are published for the first time.
