"Before Moving out" (Pirms izvākšanās) is a collection of poems written by Amanda Aizpuriete during the last seven years.
The poetry book consists of four chapters. The first chapter “My mandala” is the poet's daily observations from her home places in Kauguri and Grīziņkalns, and her search for deeper connections hidden in everyday life. The second chapter "Requiem and a rose" is about being together with the loved one who has passed away, about fruitless strivings to forget him and about emotional reflections throughout the rest of one’s life. The third chapter "The morning of St. George’s day" focuses on a sense of the inevitability of change. The fourth, concluding chapter “If there is no reason to stop” expresses the author's dialogues with her inner necessity to write.
