„It does not Cease” is the third collection of poetry by Ieva Rupenheite, comprising poems written during the last seven years. “My collections of poetry have been rather slow – with seven-year-intervals between all three that have been published,” says the poetess.
“The collection of poetry provides an opportunity to meet again the feminine and smart poetry of Ieva Rupenheite, which is at the same time so closely yet delicately connected to the realities of life,” says Laima Slava, Editor-in-Chief of the Neputns Publishers. The special atmosphere created by graphic designer Paulis Liepa gives an added value to the collection of poetry.
Ieva Rupenheite (b.1969) was born and grew up in Riga, graduated from the Latvian Academy of Art. Since 2002 she works in Ventspils and lives in Sārnate. Her first collection of poetry “Vajadzīgo pasvītrot” (To Underline the Necessary) was published by Neputns in 2001; the second collection “Melnas krelles” (Black Beads; Neputns, 2007) brought Rupenheite nominations for the Award of the Days of Poetry and the Literary Award of the Year.
